SPRING CONCERT 2026
Britten Saint Nicolas and Vivaldi Gloria

Led by Nicholas Wilks, featuring Glasgow Chamber Orchestra, VOISS singers, gallery choir, piano duet, organ, percussion.

After a successful year, Greenock Philharmonic, led by Musical Director Nicholas Wilks, are setting out to look at new ways of developing the choir and our place in the community. With this in mind, we are joining forces with young singers from Inverclyde for our Easter concert, which will programme Britten’s St Nicolas alongside Vivaldi’s Gloria in Greenock Town Hall on 28th March.

Both works were written for young people, and we will be joined by Voices of Inverclyde Senior Schools under Polly Beck and singers from St Mary’s Primary School.
Our soloist for St Nicolas will be the Greenock tenor, Euan Macdonald, and the soloists for the Vivaldi will be drawn from Inverclyde Senior Schools.
Hebba Benyaghla and her colleague Chris Baxter will be playing the piano duet, and Chris Nickol play the Greenock Town Hall organ.
This concert will honour the important legacy of the very influential and accomplished Alistair Massey, and will also be a tribute to long-time choir member Agnes Park.
